AUTOBOTS
Ratchet - there probably isn't anyone that Optimus respects as much as Ratchet. He considers the medic one of his closest friends, and would trust him with his life and then some. They've been through a lot together, and Prime knows he can rely on Ratchet.
Sari - Optimus has grown to think of Sari as his daughter, and as such is very protective of her. He really does only want what is best for her, but unlike some parents, trusts her to make her own decisions.
Prowl - another that Optimus respects very deeply. After the events of canon, however, Optimus isn't quite sure of what to make of the ninjabot, but still values his opinion.
Jazz - doesn't feel like he knows Jazz very well, but he knows that Jazz is another one he can trust.
Sunstreaker/Hunter - he um. Wants to punch Sunstreaker. Optimus didn't think it was possible for someone to be a bigger jerk than Sentinel, but hoo boy is Sunstreaker doing a good job of proving him wrong. Hunter, on the other hand, is someone Optimus respects, and actually appreciates having around.
Wreck-Gar - Optimus values Wreck-Gar's optimism, and is always glad to talk to him, even though they don't very often.
DECEPTICONS
Megatron - he can't decide whether he should hate Megs, or respect the hell out of him. And it's not that he hates MEGATRON, he just hates his ideology. He's currently settled for both, due to the invasion of Isis and the threat she poses to Nautilus.
Starscream - he knows he shouldn't poke the angry, screechy decepticon that he doesn't like, but it's SO HARD not do.
Blitzwing - has no idea what to make of him after the timeskip event. Is settling for not trusting him.
Wasp - wants to fix the Elite Guard's mistakes so badly, but doesn't know how.
Wykkyd - has begrudingly accepted his and Sari's relationship, because after spending a week playing the Reaper's Game with Wykkyd, Optimus knows he isn't a bad kid.
OTHERS
Tally - feels that she is kind of in the same place he is, in terms of experience and not knowing what to do with it. Enjoys discussing things with her when he can.
Nathan Wallace - respects the Repo man. also is scared to death of the Repo Man. Nathan kinda reminds him of Ultra Magnus, and not in a good way.
Thomas Jefferson - OMG ITS THOMAS JEFFERSON. Optimus considers him a friend and an advisor.
Axel - part of Dadbot's family! Whether the Nobody likes it or not :>
Wendy - Wendy is his other daughter! Meaning Dadbot is going to protect her fiercely.
Roxas - Son #2. If Sari's the rebellious teen, Wendy's the quiet good home-maker daughter, and Axel's the college grad living at home, then Roxas is the quiet teen that keeps to himself and Dadbot is totally cool with it.
Squall - Squall was one of the first people to treat Optimus like a leader and encourage him to act upon his heroic instincts. As such, Optimus really values Squall's input, and likes him as a friend.
Robin - has a good working relationship with Robin, even though they don't talk much.
Wally - kinda sees Wally as very similar to Bumblebee. The teenage version of Optimus sees him as more of a friend than the older one does.
