another day
i find that its always hard me to decide what to write about here. i actually think of posting fairly often, but when i try to think of what to post usually nothing comes up. maybe i think too hard on what to post about. its sad becuase i really want to post more often. i'll try and be better about it.
so its december already. it's pretty cold here in upstate ny. its already snowed twice and we were around 20 degrees a few days ago. i always liked snow until i had to drive 25 miles an hour to get to work on tuesday. but on a more positive note about snow, a few of my friends here asked me to go skiing on saturday. i'm not sure if i'm going to go since its such short notice. and i feel bad spending money when i still have christmas gifts to buy. buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut. i'll probably end up going anyway. i've got to hav some fun while i'm up here. >_< i think i will go for the snowboard instead of the skis. it should be a good time. luckily i wont be the only one going that has never skied before. skiied? ski-ed? ... well at least one of the guys who has never done it before is from louisiana. theres no way he can be better than me. i doubt he's ever seen snow before, let alone went skiing or snowboarding.
hmmm what else. so i'll be home from the 20dec til 01 january. so that should be fun. ROCKY BALBOA on the 22dec. hell yeah >_< me and dave will probably be at the midnight open if there will be one. we'll probably be the only crazies in the theater but thats ok. lori's birthday is also on the 22. man what a crazy day.
hmmm i dont really feel like posting anymore, but before i go i guess i'll wrap up where i am navywise for those who are curious...finished my qualification as a reactor operater here at the S8G plant back in october. after i qualified, i found out two weeks later i got into the officers program i applied for earlier this yr in march. now i'm here working at the NPTU ballston spa, NY until i tranfer to Naval Science Institute in Newport, rhode island this february. i'll be there for 8 weeks, graduate, transfer again to Maritime college in NY with thier rotc unit, go to school for 3 yrs all yr round for a mech. eng. degree. gradute from there. get commissioned as a nuke officer. then serve 5 yrs of obligated active duty. the end. for now.
