Rid The Rat
I woke up this morning to rattling under my messy bed and it's no secret that a rat is running loose in the house. Since I'm scared shitless of rats, I put my grandma's little house dog in the room in hopes that it will hunt Mickey down. He's under my bed right now and I hear a lot of rumbling, swallowing noises, and a tinny little squeak(though, the squeak could be anything). I want to believe that the dumb dog killed the rat but his predatory instincts are as keen as my motivation for school. Besides, I don't smell anything.
Any advice on getting rid of this thing. We have rat poison but we can't use it until the dog leaves. And I'm way too much of a pansy to do anything else.
EDIT: I just saw the fucking rat run across my room!!! Nearly had a heart attack. The dog just watched it and didn't do shit. FML!!!
DOUBLE EDIT: I stepped into my room and I feel like I was rolling in the grass. The dog has a horrible case of the fleas and my grandma didn't even give us shampoo for the dog. Why do I even have him in my room? He isn't even doing anything about the rat.
