wireless crapability
wow. hello livejournal. haven't seen you much lately..
so, i'm in la. have been for a month. am transitioning away from brett's place in the valley, which no matter what anyone tells you, is awesome. the valley is home of porn and Paul Thomas Anderson (not to mention where nearly all of his films are shot). not something to be reckoned with.. back to my sentence.. transitioning to beverly hills.. adjacent. yeah, that's what the area is called. it's a block away from beverly hills, so it can't technically be considered beverly hills.. but it is.. essentially. berta and i got a place, our lease started on the first.. the place is pretty rad.. apartments up here rarely have dishwashers, let alone washers and dryers.. ours has it all (even if the washer and dryer are in the kitchen). and hardwood floors.. and they allow pets, so we're looking to get a corgi puppy in the next few months.
i worked temporarily at Infospace, the company that makes Ringster, the program on your cell phone that you download songs from.. that was neat. they had a free soda machine. after that, i worked for my 'headhunter' at her home office in beverly hills for a week. swank. for the past 3 weeks, i've been working at my 'permanent' job in santa monica in the office complex called the Water Garden. an episode of CSI: Miami was shot here a few weeks ago. the episode just aired Monday. britney spears was apparently here today for some reason.. we're right down the street from MTV and where MGM used to be.. Interscope Records, Geffen, all the big name places take up business in santa monica for some reason. the company i work at is a CPA firm.. they do accounting for Michael Jackson, Tori Amos, Michael Eisner, Elton John, i believe Lindsey Lohan (or whomever owns Lohan Media).. and best of all, Girls Gone Wild is right upstairs.
i've been eating a lot of terrible food. i've gained 20 pounds! awesome.
so that's my very mini update.. eventually maybe i'll write on here again and post a few of the thousand pictures i've taken up here already.
in conclusion, things are going well. things are interesting. hopefully things will settle down a bit soon so that i have more time to waste here again with you people. or maybe i'll just be productive.. who knows.
