I love going outside with Libby late at night. Sometimes I sit on my patio lounge, looking up at the stars and breathing in the humidity. Sometimes I walk around the outside of my house in the dark, peeking in the lit windows, wondering what an outside observer would think of my life.
Tomorrow I am going to see a Detroit Tiger's game with my family. I hope the city still looks all sparkly clean from the All-Star game last night. I heard they did an incredible job making our dirty city shine for all the visitors. Too bad it takes something like this to make us want to clean it up a little.
Tonight Sarah and I had a girl's night, which ended up being take-out from Fudrucker's and Secretary (James Spader!) on the Oxygen Network. We decided that we need to start planning date nights, because, yes, we are like an old married couple and we never really get to hang out anymore. Tonight ended up being low-key, but good -- like old times.
I'm really making progress on my photo-albums. I'm up to 2003 now. And as soon as I finish everything my Alaska pictures will arrive from Shutterfly and I'll be buried all over again.
Lately I've become something of an insomniac. I can never fall asleep -- there's always something I can be doing or reading or watching. I feel just like John Travolta in Phenomenon.
I'm off to crawl in bed with a book.
