Best Christmas in years
It's pretty hard to get past the "bah humbug" home brings, but i'm gladly realizing that this is the best Christmas I've had in years, and well honestly, it's probably the best I've ever had. Here's why:
5. I could've held court tonight, I was such a princess...I haven't had an event to beautify for since Kyle's senior prom, so I decided tonight would do...Tina did my hair all adorably and we were the two most beautiful girls in the church (first, that's not hard, and second, my dad says so.:o)
4. I'm mentally stable! That's a first in years, right? I know what I want and why I want it. Or, if I don't, I'm not freaking out about it. Discovery finally seems like an adventure rather than a sentence.
3. I'm succeeding! I'm mentally stable, yes, and I'm also fit...I can run 8 miles in just over an hour! I'm getting the grades, I'm respected by the students and staff, and I have fantastic friends!
2. I've had a great time with Tina the past few days. I think we kind of hit a maturity divide once I entered college that is closing now that Tina's a freshman at NIU. And she finally likes hugs! She's my best friend only better!
1. The Big One: The man I love, who actually loves me back, asked me to marry him.
And tomorrow I get to open presents eat food (that I will regret, the only downside) and see my Conrad! Fantastic! In every possible selfish way, Merry Christmas to ME!
