A pretty low-key weekend...
Friday I made the last mass meal (black bean enchiladas) and ST, JDRIII and I sat down for dinner. Yummy. Then it was was BSG and another mind Frak. Oy. It's getting hard to watch, not in a bad way, but a painful way. Then back to the house for some hanging out and staying up late.
Saturday morning came to early and I headed over to hang out with Josh and the kids. We played, drank coffee, ate lunch (couscous!), then watched Mirrors while the kids napped, followed by a good conversation. Had to cut the time short and leave at 4:30 to run home and get dressed.
Threw on my blue Savings Race shirt and blue chucks and back out the door to head to the Nutter Center for the basketball game. It wasn't *as* painful as I thought. First 20 minutes of the game we were assigned to party deck, then 15 minutes in our seats, then it was half time. We all filed down to the floor. The shoot out wasn't too painful either. At least we tied for last third with two other families. Dave made a basket, I hit the basket several times. Oh well, I'm short:) only 30 secs of trying to make basket, the rest of the time was spent cheering each other on. Then back to the party deck.
An invite to go out dancing but opted to hang out with the boys instead. ST played WoW on the PC and I played on the lappy cuddled up to JDRIII who played Grand Theft Auto. A nice relaxing end to a long day.
Sunday slept in (delicious!) then headed to my brother's house. The kids came running into the room with hugs and then Bella gave me a gift she made. It was a book called Pirate Dave Rescues Princess Jessica. It was so frakkin adorable and both Dave and I were swooning. Then some hanging out, RockBand, talking, playing with Bella (we were rockstars), and a delicious Moraccan dinner (with couscous!). Then it was time for the kids to start getting ready for bed, so we got out of their hair.
Home and Dave took the dishes downstairs to the utility tub to wash dishes (how ghetto) and I brought in the chairs (and later with ST's help) the new kitchen table. Looks like the kitchen has decided that it is the next on the list for a update. Fridge, stove, dishwasher, and now sink are all dead/dying. Joy.
This week is pretty open and I'm going to try to keep it that way. ST and I need to start shopping for a new fridge and there are some projects around the house that need done. I was thinking about taking a day off to get them done, but I don't think I will have the time to do so.
