(no subject)
I feel like I have been out of touch, but it really has only been two days. Hmm. mUst work on my dependency to the nets...
I sum up:
Triumph: pretty good game, but oh so stressful, IC and OOC. OOC I had to deal with some people being asshats and deal with all the people who wanted to vent to me over and over about said asshats. IC, well, I felt like we were back in season 1 and I had to act as Legendary to save the PCs asses. With the exception of some support characters, all the veterans (GWT, Free Companions, etc) were NPC or not playing, so I was stuck babysitting a bunch of 1st seasoners. (this is not as mean as it may sound) We stopped the game early because of the Wind.
The Wind: wow. Really ST and I lucked out. A bit of trim, the gutter fell off (but ST replaced it already), and a few shingles form our roof. Oh and two random bricks found in our backyard from one of our chimneys, but not sure which one. Still out of power. But considering the mass carnage to our neighbors, we walked away pretty nice.
Work: Came to work yesterday and was the only one here, building has half power. Called Diane and she said to take work home and go ahead and leave. Today still no power going to my computer so I grabbed a laptop and I am sitting in our PD room. But of course our server is down, so really, there is nothing for me to do. I am this [----] close to taking a vacation day. My time and the company's time is being wasted.
Savings Race: St and I had our interview today for the Savings Race. I think it really well. He seemed very impressed with our "very specific goal" and our enthusiasm to be in the contest. We will find out next week!
