Wow, what a weekend.
Saturday ST and I had a day together. Slept in, ate PF Chang's, then played our brand new WoW toons. I think ST is now addicted. Then it was off to the show.
The show was amazing. There is a rumor that there were over 600 people in the audience, but...I just can't believe that. But the park was packed and there were a million kids. I had forgotten how wonderfully invigorating performing for kids can be. Bella was great and didn't falter at all her first time out. In fact she followed me out at the opening and just sat next to the dog house. She wasn't supposed to be there, but it was still adorable. ST had to take her off before the dance got too complicated.
After the show we went home and hung out with in-from-Bton Suz for a bit then went to the party at the Armory/Rusty Nail. Nice chat with Suz and fun times with the gang at the party.
Sunday ST "woke me up" and we headed to Skate World to watch Suz (et al) in the Roller Derby Scrimage against the Gem City Rollers. Yes, I am a Derby Wanna Be. Got to see a lot of friends including
bzero . Then off to another show. Not as many people, but still estimated at over 300. If they say so:) A great show, and a good number of friends showed up. It meant a lot to me. And after trying to convince ST that my knee could take roller derby, I hyper extended my knee during the show. I made it through the show no problem without limping, dance and all, and only limped back stage. I am the boss of my own body! Then a quick strike and dinner with the cast.
Home for a bit, elevating the knee, then Danny called me to tell me that there might be gaming. So headed over to Thom's. Actually just lounged around with Danny, Sparks, Loki, J, Thom, Tammy, and Chris which was fine with me. A late night at their house.
This week is pretty free, which is what ST and I need to recover from the show and prep for Triumph this weekend. Fuzzy plans with Pressnells (maybe Wednesday) and Sparks is coming over Friday to clean, dye my hair purple, and help prep for Triumph.
