A lovely weekend...
Friday morning, slept in a bit (till 8:30) got up, showered, packed, and ST shaved
thayos's head. The boys tried packing up the vibe with all of our stuff, but then realized that there just wasn't quite enough room. So, everything was moved over to the van. We didn't leave the house until 12 (we were in no hurry). Stopped for lunch and coffee...then in Indiana stopped at Oliver, stopped to get a new tent, stopped for groceries, and then (oops) stopped for towels. We finally got out to Loth. at about 5:30. It was sprinkling, but not too much wet. Hugs from T & C, set the camp up, then Lou Anne and her sister Amy showed up. Steak and corn for dinner (yum), wine and more wine, dome time, some time at Troll Bar and back to the dome...yay...
Saturday was a lazy day. Did some embroidery, took a sarong and laid down in lightning shrine and read, then took a nap. ST bought me a frog and long belt for Triumph. T & C made chili for dinner, more wine, more dome time, Jonathan and Rick showed up (yay!!), good conversation with
thayos, sky lanterns, and a blast at Troll Bar including Sambuca being drunk out of my belly-button and a cute bald army boy to flirt with. I might have responded to the flirtations and looks more if he wasn't so drunk, but it was flattering.
Sunday, another lazy start:) ST made his ST hash...yum. Blackberry wine and cheese for lunch. ST held a drum workshop and Thayos and I went for a walk through the woods. I was attempting to take him to Ancestor's Shrine, but since I had only been there once in the 11 years I have been going to Loth, we got lost, but it was a nice walk none-the-less. Went back to the camp for more steak, corn, and wine and good company.
Monday ST woke up early, so I ran to the other side of the tent and cuddled
thayos until ST told us it was time to get up and take down the tent. He is so mean (wink). We packed up quickly, showered, then went to the Little House on the Driveway for Dana's House of Omblettes. Yum.
The whole fest was nice, no drama, and exactly what I needed.
We had plans to have dinner with Skud in Indy on our way out, but had some time to kill so we did a drive by love bomb on
danielmc Didn't get to stay long, but it was lovely to get a tiger hug. A quick stop at Bloomingfoods, then out to Indy. Skud and Jess were already there, hugs went around, good geeky conversations, and some miscoms were patched up...and...Skud asked me to be in their wedding! Yay! I feel so honored. Thanks you two:)
It took *for ever* to get home, and didn't pull in until 10:15ish. The Amanda was there (was taking care of the babies), but we pretty much unloaded the car, I started laundry and then Dave and I watched Babylon 5's Season 1 finale, then crashed.
This week is short:
Tonight: dinner with Pressnells
Wednesday: House Night
Thursday: Plot Meeting for Triumph, then BSG with B & E
Friday: heading off to St Louis to see in-laws
and now I need a nap...
or maybe I should do some work...
