First and foremost, I Love Gisela. (thanks for helping me with my layout, it's beautiful, the mood themes are lovely!)
Art, I also love. Today was the exhibition, and oh, my heart aches with love of the art I saw all morning, afternoon and evening. I grew appreciation for so many artists and even began to speculate on their lives and how their art turns into the art it is. Too much time on my hands is dangerous.
Most notable was probably Dave Pike's photos (my dad instantly recognized lenses and started talking to me about them, oh the fun), Courtney Penner's watercolours, (she has such control over watercolours it hurts my head), Billy Nicoll (probably spelled his last name wrong) had a style of creatures which reminded me strongly of Neil Gaimen, as well his brother and friend's sculpture which (if anyone has seen mirrormask) seemed to take from the movie certain scultuure creatures and made my eyes smile. There were other's but I can't possibly remember their names now. I'm only thinking of them and writing them because in the future one of them has to become famous for their art, and I will smile and look back and say "I knew him when he/she was in school. Hah!"
Most of the best known artists, who changed the world of art in some way, were mentally unstable. I believe that this instability was necessary to view the world differently as the traditional artist and bring out change and new forms of art. Never fear of insanity, for it might bring you happiness in ways you could never dream.
