its been a long time

i am just pooped. who knew that shifting to 7 am wake up calls would
just destroy you. so work at the city has been okay if you look past the
early mornings. met some cool people there. i will be working the parks
again this year (as far as i know) -- moonlight and nep ... which can be
good or bad. :o)

i was driving home one night (dark out) and the moon was low and large, peering
over the landscape. it back lit the mountain (okay rocky hill, but i'm not from
BC, so mountain seems fitting to me). on top of the mountain, the water tower
stood over the city, and it looked like a giant creature with tenticles. i
was listening to radiohead and it became a very scary moment... late at night when
your mind plays tricks on you. it was freaky!

aside from that plus a free biscuit and donut (thanks garbage pickup duty -- what
is the matter with people, throwin' away winners), there is not much else -- so
this weekend better rock like geology

... neil, when are you going to ask me to be best man? you know its the only thing
i've ever really wanted.
