Its a cold night in North York town. The fires a burnin' -- about 9 fire trucks litter the streets. Grab your marshmallows and hotdogs. The kicker is the fire was right below our apartment, but we survived unharmed. I still remember the girl in the stairwell -- just below the floor of smoke -- holding the fire extinguisher and here friend next to her saying "Don't go back now; please don't do this now!". We sleep a little cooler tonight, cooler than the TTC buses that came for us to huddle in.
