i don't know why i didnt update more frequently over the past two and a half years when i should have been writing down every precious moment with Spencer... so i wouldn't lose the little things to the passage of time and the fickleness of memory.

please, those who knew him. send me your memories - your favorites, your clearest.

1.) spencer, a bunch of his other friends, and myself were at one of spencers birthday parties. i'm going to guess aroung 8. Spencer wanted us all how fast he could beat Mega Man 2 on nintendo, and proceeded to do so. Being the other young video game nerd at the occassion, i kept on asking him to let me play too, and he kept on tellin gme he would let me beat the last boss. I have no doubt that he meant it either. Anyhow, fast foraward about...45 minutes. He's at the last level, and I've had to pee FOREVER. Against my better judgement I run to the bathroom to pee, knowing full well he's not at the last boss.

I come out a few minutes later, and he had just beaten the entire game and I proceeded to throw a hissy fit.

I know the memory doesn't make him look too great, but it's so silly and ridiculous, and one of my fondest and earliest memories.

2.) my brother and I were staying at the sinkov house for about a week when we were rough;ly 9 and 10. spencer told us, he could change what time it was, so we didn't have to get up until later. that blew our fucking minds. he then proceeded to set the alarm clock back a few hours.

this didn't make sense to me until a few years later, when I owned my first alarm clock.
