I have mixed feelings about what happened last week.
I've always wanted to fight and die in glorious battle as a proud warrior of Shandora, and I would have done so to defend your honor. You know that I would have died for you. But in the moment of my defeat, I was saved, and brought back to this ship, and tended to by these pirates who have so quickly become my family.
But you say that I should live instead. Your words are so much like his were, those years ago.
My pride tells me that I should continue this battle until he has been put in his place; that I should not rest until such a bane has been eliminated!
But to do so would only further harm those that I have come to care about, wouldn't it?
You've asked me to think on my actions. It will be twice now that I have nearly died in battle defending that which I love. Both times I have been granted life.
So.
For you, I will live.
