Damn...that was a strange 4 hours of my life. Let me recap since I'm awful at keeping you all up-to-date.
So I applied to a bunch of staffing agencies and L.L. Bean. I had two interviews this past Tuesday (Sept. 19) with Bonney Services and Kelly Services. They both went well and I took tests for them (data entry, typing, word, excel, powerpoint and outlook) and had interviews and filled out W-4s etc. For those of you that don't know what staffing agencies do is they have customers who need temp, temp to hire, or full time positions and these staffing agencies fill the spots with people. So if they were to give me a job my check would still come from the saffing agency as it is them I am working for.
I interviewed with Bonney at 9:30am. By 4pm they had already called my work to get a reference. Damn that was fast.
So today (Friday September 22) I had an interview with L.L. Bean. They offered me a job: 3:30pm-11:30pm, $9.83/hr until 6pm then $10.83 an hour. Job starts Oct 2 with one week of paid training. I told them I would think about it. So that was around 11am.
Then I get on the highway and headhome. at 11:30am I'm still on the highway and Kelly Services calles. They have a data entry job for me working for an insurance company, 8am-4:30pm everyday Monday-Friday, half an hour lunch, $11/hr. Starts Monday as in September 25. Job is 3/4 months which I think will be perfect time for the Morgan horse farm though I really have no clue. So I say sure! I go and fill out confadentiality paper work (cause its an insurance company).
By the time I get home (2:30pm) my mom tells my Bonney Staffing called with a job offer. Ok so thats 3+ job offers in about 4 hours (as there were other later starting ones I could have taken at Beans). I call Bonney, its only for a couple weeks doing picking (warehouse) for $8.50/hr. No thanks. Not to mention is started at 6am ick! I deactivate my account for the next few months and will reactivate if needed. I call Beans to let them know I'm not taking the job and then I call Springborn to cancel the interview I had on Tuesday. When I got to the theater tonight I'll have to have Ashley revise the schedual for next week and take me off.
Phew! That was fast!
I'm going to miss hanging out with the theater people though.
