Let's start at the very beginning....
My friend Audrey was trying to figure out if she should come back to SLO for New Year's. Without thinking, I said "Of course!!". Audrey is 20 and there are no other people, really, to hang out with. So....there goes the bars. Oh well.
Audrey has a bunch of friends camping at the Dunes, and wanted to go party with them for a bit. They were going to meet us in the entrance and drive us in, because somehow I don't think my little mustang could handle it. Anywho, we drove to the entrance and called. And waited. And called. And called. We finally left after like 2 hours. Oh well, we bonded and got some good "in the car" pics lol
We decided to go to Greg's. As soon as we walked in, it was Awkward City. Just the few people that were there...and us not knowing anyone but Hubert (whom I want to punch squarely in the face every time he opens his mouth), and them being drunk-drunkish...and Greg, I've realized, is awkward in groups. We stayed like 10 minutes.
We were about to just call it a night, and have shnapps and cocoa and watch Hairspray, when she remembered her friend Eli was in town visiting friends. So....we went. As soon as we walked in, we met the core group of a rather large party and as soon as I saw this guy, my brain/body/heart went "woah!! who is THAT??" THAT is Bruce. We hit it off, ended up talking just the two of us for at least an hour....and I was finally, after 21 years, properly asked out. "I've really enjoyed talking to you, and if you're not seeing anyone, I'd like to take you out sometime". Exchanged numbers, he walked Audrey and I to my car, cuz it was in a dark secluded area, and he "promised" he'd call today to set up our date for Saturday!!
I have not stopped squealing since I shut the car door. He's my type, we have a lot in common, he's gorgeous, he's smart and seems like a really good guy. And he's funny! le sigh. I'm a smitten kitten.
Greg who?
