The week that was....

Firstly, Happy Star Wars Day. May the 4th be with you.

I am currently nursing a bad virus with sore throat, crusty eyes, sore ears, cough, sneeze, runny nose and almost laryngitis... Dr said I looked like hell. Yesterday, today and tomorrow off work. Hopefully I will not be contagious on Thursday. Yesterday could manage little. Tried to make a cord from a book a bought from Colonial Lake books (my friend Bryonny owns it)... Take V Bowes Departed.. well my muzzy head would not allow me to do much.. sigh.. will try again later in the week.

Have ordered a christmas pressie for my Dear Love.

Spent the weekend at the Gummeracha Medieval fare.. pics on flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/98008890@N00/sets/72157623864102549/

The Society for Creative Anachronism has been part of the Medieval fare for years. We do demos of rapier, heavy weapon (armoured) combat and Arts and sciences displays.

Scores from the weekend:
  • new metal rapier buckler (now D has to clean off my mask, so I can remake a coif)..
  • My Book: Take V Bowes Departed
  • some really nice dark chocky fudge.. num, num

On the saturday one of the 'lovely' punters was coughing all over us as we talked to her (we were effectively trapped in the tent)... I wonder where I got my lurgie from???

Today, I could not get of bed until midday... ugh...
I watched some Time Team, put some washing on. Now am watching a re-run of  The Professionals... I always loved Martin Shaw!
did some net surfing... as brains cells are not necessarily required for that...
found: thought about doing some cleaning
thought about sewing
thought about making lunch (had my work lunch for yesterday instead)
thought about what I will be making this year (OMG, too much, so little time).. then decided, not today...
thought about lots of things... no energy...

rapier, medieval faire, books, sca, sewing, sick
