there are so many cool things about teaching elementary school.
like yesterday i got to watch an autistic first grader face-off against a third grader in a math contest and the first grader whooped up on the third grader. this particular first grader can do math in his head that i struggle to do with a calculator. of course he also can't bother to respond to a person when you say "Hello" to him in the morning, but autism is strange that way.
