I have had enough of those rude, insidious letting agents. They're all nice as hell to you when they're trying to get you to sign a contract for one of 'their' properties (as far as i'm consider, N. the landlord is the rightful owner, not those twats). But when you want something, say a second chance at getting first dibs on your house you're renting for next year, they will hear nothing of it until you have sorted out a group of four willing participants to sign their contract and pay the ridiculous deposit. I am this close to losing it and giving them a piece of my mind. They wouldn't even phone me to tell me if the other group were still interested in it.
I thought I had heard the last of them. Today, after working on my poster presentation, I check my phone and I have a voicemail message from them, saying that there's another group of prospective tenants visiting tomorrow, and patronisingly asking me to tell the others to make the place tidy. I'm not the other tenants' keeper, so the shared living areas are a joint responsibility. And my room was only a mess because of the mould problem I've been having (hopefully that'll put the prospective tenants off!), so everything from my wardrobe has been in a bungled heap until yesterday. The very fact that they're showing other prospective tenants round means that they obviously care more for profit than current tenants. It wasn't my fault that I didn't know that I had to speak to them about staying at that place next year!!
If I didn't hate my hometown so much, I would be sorely tempted to move back home and study at the local uni. At least then i wouldn't have to tolerate these arseholes.
I don't want to go onto campus housing, cause I'll probably end up with some shitty lodgings in a hall of residence (i can't cope well with noise), and I don't drive, so moving's a major problem. I really cannot stand much more of this crap.
