So while I was down at fanime, I learned of a new and fun games and things. One of which was Ninja. There's various different rules and ways to play this game, but the one I was playing was a simple version. Unfortunately it wasn't until the last two days I started playing it.
So basically you gather any amount of people. Gather into a circle until you're arms length apart. (The more people there is, the harder it is to keep track and the longer it takes.) You count up from one to three and then yell ninja and assume a position. (It can be a battle position, relaxing, whatever. As long as you move.) The circle goes clockwise and each person is allowed one turn and limitless dodging. When you strike you have one step, but you're welcome to leap into the middle of the circle. The goal of the game is to hit the other player's hands and get them out until you're the last one standing. Your attack is void if you hit any other place besides the hand (wrist included.) You can't move your feet when you dodge, and you have to keep an open palm. When it reaches the last two people you stand back to back and start them off like you would start a new game. After 'ninja' is called they will turn around and battle until one of them is a winner using the rules of the game.
I played this game for a good chuck of my time and I definitely feel my leg muscles gaining from the fact. I also got a lot of bruises from it too but it was so much fun. I intend to teach my friends, even my siblings (hopefully parents, but maybe that's hoping too much.) because it's a very active game. xD
You really do tone and work out your muscles holding your body in funny positions until it's your turn again.
You're promised winning a game if you're lighting fast, and have really good reflexes.
You're bound to lose if you're easily distracted and slow.
All in all it's a fun game you should try if you haven't already.
