i'm thinking about going back to karaoke to sing whiskey lullaby, but i need a female for the duet. any takers? julie?
anyone know where i can get a copy of a local concert? i know mr. bill's music (formerly of cp now in latham or rt. 9) sometimes had spac shows, but i haven't been in the new store. (they only moved like 6+ years ago)
gotta say john mayer kicked royal ass. the best part (esp. for anyone who knows his songs) was when he was playing "my stupid mouth" - my second favorite jm song. he came to the natural pause in the song (much like my "bear" joke which, incidentally, i started as he came to the pause) and stopped playing. both audiences - the one for the concert and the one for my joke - were left hanging. i thought it would be a great idea for him to come out and play the rest of the song for the encore - which is basically what he did.... and i was then able to finish my joke. if you've never heard the joke before, here it goes:
"a bear walks into a bar, goes up to the bartender and says, 'i'll have a gin . . ."
i'm watching nip/tuck upon a recent recommendation, and i think it's a pretty cool show. i'll have to get more into it, but we'll see how it goes.
yea, so everyone else has these list things going and i feel left out. here's my list. we'll see if we like it. (yes the mouse and me)
things that kicked ass this weekend: (in no particular order)
1.) fantastic day horseback riding
2.) best fireworks i have seen since July 4th, 2002 (jones beach)
3.) awesome waitress at friday's
4.) hitting up the cemetery and not getting attacked....
5.) great concert
6.) realizing the world is about ( ) this big
7.) running into an old friend at the usual place....
8.) a great time friday night w/ the girl just hanging out for the first time in forever.
that's it. that's the list.
folks, there's only 4 days 'till i get the flock out of here. although i'll miss those of you who are leaving, i can't wait to go.....
for the record, nip/tuck is very strange....
i wish i remembered the joke i was going to write, but i can't so no joke tonight. sorry.
