More packing!
More and more!
Okay, not /that/ much more. Just little things. Mostly boxed up in boxes we're leaving open in case we still need to use stuff before we actually move.
Speaking of moving, we moved the date a little. We're still getting the keys tomorrow(Tuesday), but we wont actually start moving big stuff in probably until Thursday, when my parents have time to help. And, go figure, it's supposed to rain starting Friday and all next week. Booo! Hopefully it's just a light sprinkle and not a torrential downpour. O_o We're gonna take it slow... no real reason to hurry.
On Saturday, we went down to Ventura and bought a queen sized memory-foam mattress(sooo nice!) and box spring(we already have an extra frame for it), along with a couch and love-seat. On Wednesday, my parents are getting a new fridge that actually fits better in the space they have(and in black to match the rest of the appliances), and giving us their older, white one that will fit perfectly in our new place. They've been wanting to do that for a while, this is just a great excuse to do it NOW. :D It's all getting delivered on Saturday, wee!
But man... that ripped out a chunk of money from my bank account. That shit aint cheap! I figure it's a one-time purchase that will last us for a while, so it's worth it. Now we gotta get everything in the house and see what else we need, and what kind of space we have to put it in.
I know for sure we need a dinning set and a large area rug for the living room since it's all wood floors except the bedrooms. Bookshelves... Also need to buy a doggy door for the sliding glass door so Morgan can go in/out whenever she wants. But, we need to wait on getting all that until next month. Those aren't essential items, and we still have other, more important things we need to spend our money on. At least we still have most of the kitchenware(still in boxes!) from when we moved back here from Mississippi. Most of that was kept high up in cabinets, so didn't get destroyed by Katrina like everything else did.
Anyway... gotta get back to packing.
