Crayons

I had an interview on Tuesday in North Raleigh, so I decided to go visit the boyfriend afterwards. Unfortunately, he had a last-minute late call at work, and I found myself with about an hour and a half to kill. I stopped off at the local Whole Foods, tried some samples, and bought some fruit at the cafe. That is when I discovered the BEST THING--they have a giant roll of butcher paper and free crayons at customer service. You know, for the kids.

They were wiling to give me a pack (Prangs, too) and I happily sketched for more than an hour. I need to do that more often; it was very satisfying. Not high art, but it was fun. Even though that one girl's eyes are ALL WRONG.

The pictures were taken under shoddy lighting with my iPod camera, so they do not properly convey the scale of the things--they are about half the size of a refrigerator door. With thanks to the Whole Foods patrons who did not call security on me, even though I kept staring at them. You guys rock, whoever you are. Sorry about the eyes.
