Help me corrupt my sister!
My sister has recently begun to show an interest in anime, so I have suggested that she start reading manga as well. As I am not a manga reader myself, though, I do not know what to suggest. So I thought I would ask you, my Japanese-culture-loving LJ friends, for recommendations that are
1. Relatively widely available in the US, as the local library system will be our source
2. Accessible to a new reader who does not speak or read Japanese
3. At least moderately appropriate for a thirteen-year-old
Any ideas? Tie-ins to so YouTubeable anime shows are also a plus.
