Late night debauchery? Nope...just a little btvs
So last night I stayed out until 6:30am. I snuck into the house before my parents woke up, went upstairs to my room, passed out and slept until 2 this afternoon.
What was I doing out so late? Binge drinking? Wild orgies? Not quite...I was up from 12-6:30 watching a marathon of Buffy episodes with my best friend's girlfriend. Now, Mary (the gf, and one of my good friends as well), is a wee bit obsessed with the Buffy because her sisters spread the love. So I think she was grateful to have me there to share the knowledge and squee with her. My best friend Emily likes Buffy too, but she was soon overwhelmed by all our talking about all the back stories and fell asleep on the couch.
I have NO idea how she stayed asleep, what with Mary and I giggling loudly every 5 seconds and repeatedly proclaiming our love for Willow or Xander or Oz or Spike. I swear, they have the funniest writers out there.
I haven't ever watched as much Buffy as I would have liked to, since I don't have a TV, but I know the general plotlines and stories. Mary was able to fill me in about tons of stuff, and she was more than happy to explain whenever I asked questions. Which was often. Now, I'll admit I'm not the best Buffy fan out there, considering I don't get to watch it that often. However, after last night's marathon, I can safely say that Buffy is the funniest freaking show ever. It gets a bad rep, but people just don't understand! It's freaking hilarious...I swear I was laughing so hard I was snorting. They don't take themselves seriously at all, and that's the best part.
And then there's the matter of vamp-Willow and vamp-Xander. Oh my God they are SO HOT. I had just gotten done telling Mary about how I just don't see Xander as being very sexual at all when she put that episode in and oh my god my thighs went up in flames. With the leather and the kissing and the tongues and then vamp-Willow licking everyone...I just about fainted. And then vamp-Willow straddling half-naked Angel and torturing him! Could anything get hotter than that? I think not. Then we watched the one where vamp-Willow comes back, and even though I missed seeing her with vamp-Xander, I did enjoy seeing vamp-Willow licking normal-Willow's neck. Somehow it seemed incestuous but it was still oh so hot in some weird way. I think I may be obsessed with vampires.
I may just have to buy myself a television just so I can watch this show. Gah.
