I didn't discover my all-consuming, passionate love for sushi until after college. To think I went all those years without it! Now it's my favorite food. I know it is my favorite food because sometimes while I'm eating it I will lift a piece up lovingly with my chopsticks and whisper to it, "I love you, sushi." I think that's pretty much an indication of insanity, but also of a mutual love-filled relationship between me and my sushi rolls.
So yeah, I kinda dig it. But I can kind of (but not really) understand people not liking it. Joe says he doesn't like the taste of the seaweed. Some people can't deal with the idea of raw fish

Crackers. No, really. You know how everyone has that food that is their kryptonite, that they could just eat and eat and eat and have absolutely no "off" button for? For some people it's cheese or ice cream or chocolate. For me, it's crackers. I like food that's dry, crunchy, and savory. Mmmm. Crackers.
Wow...odd! I get the "I could eat a whole bag of these" kind of feeling, but it's interesting that it's also your favorite food. I could eat tons of chocolate in one sitting, but it's actually not my favorite food. I think I would honestly choose sushi over chocolate (but dear god don't make me pick!)
Any particular type of cracker that you love the most? I'll know what to send you if I send you a care package, hahaha.
Saso's closed sometime this past year. :( I was SO SAD. Like woe. I remember I was in my lab when I heard that they closed - my coworker Tiffany told me and I screamed out "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" so loud I'm surprised no one came to see if I was being murdered. Then I cried. I swear to God. Sushi is srs bsns.
Now I go to the Sake Cafe on New Scotland, but it's just not as good. It's good, definitely better than most of the places around here but it's not as good as Saso's.
Also, I dream about that Christmas Tree roll. It was magnificent.
