I'm tired of missing old friends!
You know what? Life is too short too not spend time with friends. In SF, I spend time with my friends at work, and at home it's all Josh's friends and family (who are now mine as well!) but MY friends, from MY childhood are all far away. Kim and I became friends in 1985- but I haven't seen her in probably 10 years. She's been married for years and I've never met her husband. She had a baby a year and a half ago and I've never met her!
I may not be able to pull the resources together to go to Nancy's funeral but damnit, I still have friends that are ALIVE that I need to spend time with. Nancy would understand. In fact, she'd say, "Get on that, wouldya!" Jaden is old enough now, I think I could go for a weekend without much toddler-drama, and I have a job now so I can afford a plane ticket.
I talked to Kim and we are making a plan. Time to reconnect and bring my old friends back into my present life!
