Hey from DC! I'm really loving it out here. I just got in this afternoon but first thing my mom and I hopped onto the Metro and landed at Federal Triangle which is inside the Reagan International Trade Center. The weather is perfect. It's cold enough to wear a jacket comfortably and not get hot, like 50. It's lovely. We walked around but the whole area is kind of disconcerting. You cant drive in front of the White House, you cant walk up the steps to the capitol building, and you cant even get within 10 feet of the Washington monument. Even the reflecting pool is closed off. It's kind of sad. I'm falling in love with DC though. I got off the plane and had that "I might just belong here" feeling. I've been emailing one of the georgetown students back and forth. So, tomorrow he and I are meeting at The Tombs for lunch. It is a place where Clinton used to hang out and all sorts of other georgetown grads. Get this, the number is 202 - 337 - 6668. I know a few of you will appreciate that. I get to do everything on my own. It's really cool and exciting. So tomorrow, get up at 8am, call the admin office and set up a tour, walk to the metro station, get on the shuttle that goes over the Potomac into georgetown, do the tour, meet Justin for lunch at the tombs, sit in on an international relations course, and then come back to the hotel and meet up with my mom. AHH!! It's friggin awesome.

Ooh, on a sidenote. It was really nice to be in Michigan and see all of my family. It was literally freezing there, about 8 degrees in the morning and night with a high of about 40 during the day. My grandma startled me. As she was hugging me one day she said "dont have sex dearie. once you do it you'll want more and more of it and wont stop." I was like, uhh, ok grandma. haha. My grandma!!!! We spent thursday watching bing crosby movies, we spent friday with the whole family and then watched a few John Wayne movies, and then on Saturday we drove up to Gaylord, yes gaylord michigan, and saw my cousin holly and her kids at my aunt helens house. When we got back that night grandpa had another John Wayne tape in so we watched that and were in bed by 7pm. Then today we got up at 4am and headed to the airport. Then you know what went on from there. It's a very different kind of life there. It was kinda of a nice break.

I love you guys and miss you all. Call me sometime if you ever wanna chat. It's nice to hear a friendly voice. :) See you soon
