Race and Ethnicity class

Standing up in class during a group presentation to call the people presenting a bunch of ignorant assholes while they were talking about the plight of illegal immigrants in my rqace and ethnicity class is not really the best thing to do. 50 minutes of class to give a presentation and I took up about 20 minutes of it to argue against them their generalization of homeless people being that of completely drug addicted people who have no will to work at all. I raised the question about if any of them were activists and if any of them actually did any kind of work to help either group, when they responded no, I asked if any of them were either illegal immigrants or homeless. When they responded no, I ripped them apart and after about 5 minutes had about 1/4 of the class on my side by 20 min I had 1/2 the class when they gave up and the instructor said it was a discussion for another day and the group had to finish their presentation. I grabbed my stuff and left in protest. I sat outside and waited for class to be over and went in to talk to the instructor. We had a decent talk and agreed that I had aa right to walk out of class but that he needed to finish hearing their presentation to be able to give them a grade at all.

In other news, I seem to have developed this upsetting trend of getting crushes on straight people I could swear were gay. Also went out to the bar with a girl today in what I thought was just a casual lets have a beer type thing until she told me I was really cute. I only could respond that I thought the cute little hispanic straight kid in our class was cute. Kind of cut the night short but whatever.
