A First
I have never, ever, been particularly interested in politics. There are many things that the government has done that I do not necessarily agree with, and I have complained/ranted about them. But all in all I just sorta let the realist inside me "deal" with them by chalking it up to "the way things are," and that they are unlikely to change. I can, with certainty, say that a polictical figure has never given me hope that some of the broken things we deal with might get fixed.
And then I listened to Barak Obama's Inaugural Address.
I really do hope that my new found hope isnt misplaced.
