Simulating Discovery, Pt. 1

Apr 02, 2014 20:55

Though the most satisfactory route to making a discovery is often accidental, my hope is that the experience can perhaps be duplicated in a more controlled and comfortable environment but to similar effect. I want to try that here.

With that, there are then some rules to this treasure hunt. What will follow is a YouTube link with a song. It is indeed meant to be played, but at a low volume. Play as a background track to some activity, perhaps around a friend who doesn't mind the unusual and shares a sportive sense of humor. If the activity can maintain your focus, but the music fights and nudges for primacy, then the idea is working. Do not try and ignore the music, but indeed attempt to maintain that focused activity/conversation/orsoforth.

So what is this all about? I want to write about my own discovery, and this exercise is entirely for perspective.
