Yeah, I'm looking for a job again. Thee are a couple of interesting things out there, but all of them require an online application. Fine. But I don't give my SSN out, ever, online. Ever. And I'm wondering if the ap will even be read without it, but hello, security? You interview me and I'll be happy to bring the card with me, but otherwise...

eta: I just saw this. The position is a dispatcher, I'm assuming for one of the Smithfield pork plants.
The Transportation Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating trucks to our various loading facilities. They will dispatch tenders through our computer system; follow-up to make sure carriers are accepting the trips; constant monitoring of incoming loads and dispatch to common carriers, verifying legal depart times and outbound scheduling and solving unexpected problems.
Associates Degree is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Prior dispatch or trucking company experience is required.
Why in god's name do you need a degree of *any* sort to dispatch trucks?! Let alone a bachelor's. In what, radio-communicated commercial vehicular organization?
