Long, tiring, awesome weekend.
*yawn* I am so exhausted. Kalisa and I had such a blast this weekend. Girl, thanks again sooo much!
We shot a movie! The movie is called "Fat Girls" by Ash Christian, and it has Thora Birch, and Alexa and Justin from All My Children (I don't know their character names, but Justin is Tad's son), and the cute little old lady from the Wedding Singer that does the rap, and the 3 Lawrence brothers, Joey, Matthew, and Andy were supposed to be in it, but there were problems with their agent, so I don't know if they are going to be or not.
Kalisa met Ash at an industry party, and he said she'd be perfect for one of the "Abercrombie/Student council Sluts" in the movie, and she invited me to be the 2nd. We were Slut #1 and Slut #2! hehe! They ended up making her pregnant, which is sooo funny, because she weighs about 80 lbs. (Normally I would use this as an exaggeration for a very skinny person, but that is her actual weight! She is itty bitty and oh-so-cute!) So, we slutted it up on day 1 and day 2, and had a grand ol' time.
Not sure when the movie is coming out, it is behind schedule, but I'll keep everyone updated. It should be really funny. It's kind of a messed up, dark/twisted comedy, but then it has its serious moments, too. Basically, its about a guy growing up in a small town who realizes he's gay, and yadda yadda yadda. Ash is hysterical. Everybody had a blast. His on- and off-screen partners in crime Ashley and Robin were funny as hell and total dolls! Made lots of new friends and networked like a sumbitch. Got Joe(Hot Foriegn Exchange Student) and Evan(Ted) in Austin, Robin(Rudy -aka the cutest thing alive!), Ash(Rodney), and Ashley(Sabrina) in L.A., Tom (my boyfriend/hick #1) in Ft. Worth, and a myriad of cool crew folks.
The M-A-C makeup artist, Darcy, who used the word "fierce" every other sentence and looked like Rosario Dawson, gushed over the makeup job I did on Kalisa and myself and said I should pursue it and say I had my own kit and had worked on a movie set before. sweet! I took that as a huge compliment.
I feel so fortunate for this chance. I feel so blessed to know and meet such amazing people, and to start sticking my foot in the door. I *loved* the whole experience, and I crave it like air now! I felt so full of fun and so alive, even when I was exhausted from 15 hours on the set in heels and a prom dress. This is what I'm supposed to do. I've had my first blood, and now I'm hungry for more, this only piqued my appetite. I can't wait for my next project. I'll write more later. Love you guys!
