Burning fires and Bud Lights...

Seems to be the norm. again this winter. Patrick and a couple of his friends came out this past weekend and last night, and we got together, got a little fire going, and popped a top again. I can't believe it was his first time, backing a couple of trucks up, turning on some country, getting a fire going, then having a couple of cold beers. Hey, everybody has to start somewhere.

It felt weird though. I was the oldest person there. I governed everyone pretty well I thought. All the DD's stayed just that, and the people that were drinking got cut off when I deemed it a good idea for them to be cut off. Jackasses were asked leave, and if the didn't, they were told and made to leave. Hey, you make an example, people will learn real quick, don't act like a jackass.

Sad thing about the whole thing is, Camden county is growing so fast, that all the good spots are starting to get turned into developments. I knew it was only a matter of time before Camden started growing by leaps and bounds, I've just never been much for change I suppose.

We've also been getting together and playing poker about once or twice a week. I don't seem to suck at it as far as I can tell. I've won a couple of times and came in second place a lot.

Things at college are going great. I've taken a couple of test and it seems the scoring trend that I started in high school continues...but who wouldn't be happy with mid to high 80s? If I studied and applied myself a little bit more I could probably pull 90s...but you know what they call the doctor that made a 70 on his final exam compared to the one that made 100? Heck, half the things that we learn are on the job training anyways...there are just somethings that you can learn out of a book.

Truck is still running like a champion. I've gotten the exhaust done, the windows tinted, and the bed-liner sprayed in. Now the only thing left to do is pay it off...shouldn't take but five years...fact...end...
