I am slowly emerging from my post-show hidey-hole of lazy retreat. Saturday night and Sunday morning were spent catching up on BSG on Dave's father's 54" television. That was lazy, but it was socially lazy.
AND I finally did something about my hair. I have been threatening for months to cut my hair off because it was too much bother. When I actually got to the point where I was ready to cut it, I was cast in a show and the director and hair designer wanted me to keep it long. The show was centered in a beauty parlor and my character was an assistant hair stylist. I have been checking at Carleton's volunteer center website for weeks to see if they were going to do their annual Cuts for Cancer this year. When the sign-ups finally went up, I missed all the slots. They said to try for a walk-in. I tried this morning, and they were full. As I walked to work early, I passed a small hair salon. The stylist was kind enough to donate the time it took her to cut off twelve inches and trim my bangs. She put the hair in a ponytail and I took that up to the event at Carleton.
My hair's still down to my shoulders, but it's much more manageable now. I also look forward to pigtails.
