1. What's your internet alias and what's the idea behind it?
fireglade...it was part of a poem i wrote
2. What do you do first in the morning?
feed two kitties, adorn(siamese, silky & ornery) and fiora(torbie, lovable doofus)
take my meds, drink tea
3. Which artist or musician ate most of your brain?
the doors were my first...i found them almost hypnotic,
i felt so drawn to their poetic lyrics and the music just soaked into my soul
4. What is your favorite smell?
the amazing scent of autumn, the acrid smell of decaying leaves, the smell of autumn is unmistakable
it's the smell of nature's beautiful death...fading away into the bracing arms of winter
5. What videogames are you playing at the moment?
the sims 2 will be the death of me...it's very absorbing
6. What would you eat the most, if money wasn't an issue?
i would have a constant supply of organic fruits and veggies...
i love mangos, avocados, persimmons, cherries, plums, purple carrots(yes, they're real),
black russian tomatoes(also real), fresh raw spinach---i love it, i could eat it by the handful...
red, yellow and orange peppers....
i wish the good stuff wasn't so expensive...sigh
7. Do you trust easily?
i trust other people in this way,
i give all that i have to anyone in distress,
but when i am in distress...i hate to put that on anyone...
8. What was your first big artistic obsession?
female canadian painter, emily carr....i love her work...bright, dark swirling colours...with a strong focus on the dynamic forces of nature, especially trees....she also had a strong connection with the native people of british columbia...they called her "klee wik"
9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
there always is...but i fight that part of myself constantly...

no...i want to change it...

hmmm...it provokes a level of thoughtfulness for me that can be engaging...
which i suppose means, yes-sometimes-maybe... ;P

gmail, lj....not always daily....but definitely the most often

i don't know if i like it, it's usually about comfort for me...
but i have a (not often seen) flamboyant side with clothes and make-up,
that occasionally rears it's colourful head and demands to be on display...
like some kind of multi-coloured exotic bird that performs it's strange, yet dazzling, ritualistic mating dance...

a bright star...a delicate flower...an aerial swallow, soaring and diving with the wind...

i had this dress...low scoop neck, long sleeves, long flowing skirt...
that had this really unique pattern, i think it was a fabric from the 60's,
the colours were a blend of shades, from spring green to a pink-ish apricot...
with threads of black like a random abstract sketch...
it fit me perfectly...and i felt beautiful in it...
another dress i loved was a silky black number, flowed like inky water over my body,
thin, black straps, a low draped neck line, very simple...but i felt really sexy in it...
17. What's better: to give or to receive?
give...i can find it hard to receive...
18. What would you buy if you had unlimited resources?
a large building with many rooms for people without homes...
furnished...with a grocery store/second-hand furniture and clothing/
pharmacy/free medical clinic on the main floor...
no charge for your one bedroom apartment...
just with the understanding that you cannot hurt anyone in the building,
and treat your neighbors with respect...
all you have to do is agree to this, and you have a home of your own,
for as long as you need one
19. What would be your perfect day?
a walk in the woods on an autumn day...crisp leaves underfoot...overcast sky...grey blue clouds in abundance...
cool, swift wind...whipping my hair about with abandon...ending at at lake, waves crashing with exuberant ferocity! as i hold my arms high into the wind smelling the red-golden leaves swirling around me...the air heavy with the lake's dew...wet, brisk scent swiftly entering my nose...
my heart wishes i was there...my soul wants that place for it's own...
