So guess who I saw today...
None other than Johnny Depp, not two miles from my house!
He's filming for the movie they're making about John Dillinger, who escaped from the jail here in town in the 20's... embarrassing as I'm sure it was then, the city's pretty proud to claim it now that there are celebrities in our backyards, haha.
But I went down there with Angela and her sister and we saw him walk out of his trailer to another truck and then to the black SUV that took him to the set, all of a block away. He smiled and waved, pretty cool. Unfortunately the one picture I got doesn't even have him in it, not that you can see... only I think the top of his head. Pooh. So we chased his SUV to the set and then stood around for an hour and a half hoping he'd come out of the old jail but he never did.
