the night is yours alone
my brother and i went canoeing yesterday. it was awesome. we got 27 golfballs out of the bank. pretty sweet for this early in the season. got stuck sideways in a creek for awhile, very funny.
tomorrow, we're going to the beach. heck yes.
next week, my brother's friends (David and Derek) are coming to visit. i practicalIy grew up with David, he was constantly at my house. it'll be a fun week. being their DD, going to the beach, etc....
work is going really well at both jobs. other than burning myself across my palm with the deep fryer basket, but it healed pretty quickly.
matt and lucas are home [yay!] - christine, johanna, jason and i went to welcome them home on the 1st at the airport. Matt came to visit me at work Saturday.
been having a really good time hanging out with my mom lately. playing scrabble, cooking, cleaning....yea, it's kind of boring at times but I love her. I missed her a lot while I was at school. we went to Silverados on Friday for a fundraiser for The Weekend to End Breast Cancer [with my dad and brother too, my dad was making t-shirts for the event + Team Awesome clothing}]....i made my mom dance with me. nothing like hearing your mom sing "This shit is bananas..B-A-N-A-N-A-S". {Jamie: "What A Feeling" came on just as i had finally convinced my Dad to dance...it was so funny, can't wait for you to live with me next summer babygirl).
Just so you guys know....a little late, there was an awesome article on Janis Folkert's dad in the Free Press on Saturday about his art and his life. He's an amazing artist. Tell him congratulations for me Janeo.
