Kaylee goodness...
I started mocking up the bodice at 4pm and nearly finished the completed bodice by 4am (with an hour break for dinner and cake). I will add the sleeves (which are made and prepped), buttons, and zipper tomorrow (er, later today lol). I can't add the neck trim or sleeve detail until Monday. I ran out of the ruffled trim, and my fringe I dyed is a tad too pink for the costume, I need to buy more and dye it to a lighter shade this time.
This was a challenge for me, I've never done a scrunched overlayer before. I didn't even mock that part up, I just kind of winged it, but had a feeling what I was doing was right... and it was :-D The whole inside is neatly lined and all seams are turned in. I feel like each project I take on, my skills and workmanship improve a lot.
After that... make a handbag and hairclip and maybe locate some gloves.
Anyone know what kind of shoes she wears with this? Worse comes to worse, I'll make my own like I usually do.
Anyway... hubby is yelling at me to come to bed... I should sleep lol.
