quick intro and a costuming question :)

Firefly fan for AGES! but have admittedly never been so handy with the clothing creation stuff as apparently many of you are (can i just say that looking at some of the pictures on here i am completely in awe of everyones talent!) Now the point, i was just invited to my friends 30th bday party which is about 2 weeks from now and its themed "Favorite character in Fiction" and out of the millions of possibilities there the very first person that popped into my head was of course, our dear Malcolm Reynolds. So for the last 2 days i have been scrambling trying to find ways to put something together, and this is how i came across this group here! So any possible advice or help that can be givin would be greatly appreciated!
