Very nice! I love seeing the Serenity side getting more love. Most of my Firefly costumer friends are all about the TV show, so my wife and I are always the only Serenity ones :)
The TV show does have more costume variety to choose from, but Serenity needs love too! I really enjoyed the film and hope to make another movie costume sometime this year :)
I did this outfit myself. The obi is actually a brownish color and not black. There are some good photos here (if you compare the bodice to the obi you'll see they are different) http://serenifly.tripod.com/serenityinara5.html
The shoes were by Marni (an Italian designer). I had a saved Ebay search for "Marni Gold" and actually found the shoes in a couple of months (I paid $50 which is apparently a good deal either way for Italian designer shoes, or so a fashion savvy friend of mine said). I'm not sure how crazy you want to get with it because its not a detail most people pick up on (when I had them at Dragoncon this past summer and entered the Joss Whedon costume contest, the judge did notice it which made me happy).
LOL, that's awesome! I used to work downtown (off 18th and Lawrence) and the company I worked for banked at Chase and Wells Fargo so I often walked past there and every time I did I kept thinking that I HAD to do 'Miranda" photos there some day!
I thought it best to take advantage of such a rare warm day in February, because in true Colorado fashion, snow is on it's way :(

Thanks for the info! I always enjoy learning more about the costumes (and seeing how many mistakes I made, haha).

You look great! Hopefully the nice weather holds out, although it is trying to snow in the DTC right now....

And yes, once again snow is threatening! But also in true Colorado fashion, it is supposed to be almost 60 by the end of the week.

Oh Colorado, how we love you and your schizophrenic weather.
Are you a costumer? :)
