Death Cab for Cutie, The Employment Pages

"....
And it was true that I was truly failing.
But you were gone and I was home
calling around, but nothing was found worthwhile.

We spread out and occupy the cracks in the urban streets.
Idle now: I rearrange the furniture as you sleep. as you sleep, as you sleep..."

Lots of work drama at work.  I'm tired of talking about it.  Everytime i repeat the story, it gets shorter and more condensed.  I found parts of the novel I was working on -- I think I had something for awhile, but I don't remember where I was going with it. Oh well. Maybe I'll stumble over it again.

There are only 7 units in this building, so we all know each other by the first name basis here. I was getting my mail a few of days ago and one of my neighbors, the young London undergrad got a Playboy advertisment card, with a lingerie-clad women on it.  "Mr. H, you qualify for a free one year subscription."  It sat out on the mail credenza for one day before I thought he finally picked it up.  Turns out someone just hid it under the catalogues for the sake of descretion.  The next day, it was between the coupon mailers. The thing is that now I know he's never going to see it.  This raunchy card is going to be there forever.  Every time i pick up my grocery store mailers, I don't know if another neighbor has played another game of "hide-the-porno-card."  I was going to throw it away or slide it under his door. I think I've decided to tape it to his door one day. ;) evil.

Acupuncture appointment was good.  My entire back is incredibly red from the cupping -- I've been extremely stressed.  I think things are getting better though.

Baloneyman's making a treasure chest for me. Yay. Handmade gifts are the best.
