summertime
Summer's started!
Friday after my last final I walked home and mom had made a doctors appointment for me because my tummy had been hurting really badly since first hour Thursday. I went and saw my doctor and then she sent me to the other offices downtown to get a ct-scan and blood/other testing and finally they said I had appendicitis and would need surgery and that they already had a surgeon ready for me at Provena. It was really crazy because I thought I had just pulled a muscle walking to school Thursday and that they were just going to give me some muscle relaxers or something. So we went to the ER and I couldn't get a hold of my dad but mom was with me and they preped me and took a pregnancy test (we all thought it was funny because I was still on my period...but it's a Catholic hospital so...) and then they put me in surgery. Dad was there by then and Emi and Eric brought me flowers and a shiny balloon, and the doctors gave me a picture of my appendix which is really cool. Now I'm apendixless! Everyone was really nice but it was very scary.
what a way to take finals and start the summer.
The point is I'm on painkillers and can't work or drive this week or lift any weights and stuff... so if anybody wants to go to the park or movies or hang out low key that would be really awesome.
