Oh my goodness, this fic. It's just perfection. You deal with such complex issues so well, hon. The conversation with his dad and the video about Blaine marrying Anderson Cooper was just all kinds of heartbreaking, and Burt being the catalyst for all of that was perfect. I love how you somehow manage to weave canon in there also, twisting it just that slightest bit so that the changes in situation are just made all that much clearer.
That last scene in Kurt's dorm room was just so, so well-written and well-done and sad. I love how, since it's written from Blaine's point of view, it's so easy to follow along with Blaine's thinking and with his actions. It makes comments like his dad's ("you're the strongest person I know") seem just as surprising to us during the reading of it as it is to Blaine, even though when we aren't entrenched in Blaine's mind anymore it's very easy to think "of course he is, he's amazing!". One of the things I love about how you write Blaine, and really every other character in this fic, is that you don't downplay their strength. A lot of fanfic authors in this fandom, especially when writing troubled characters like Blaine or Quinn, tend not to acknowledge how much inner strength they both have in favor of emphasizing how fragile they are because of what they've been through. You don't do that; you balance their fragility and their strength really wonderfully, and it's honestly a joy to read.
I can't wait for more interactions with the Warblers and members of New Directions; most terrifyingly, I literally cannot wait for the trial. Anticipation is just killing me.
I'm excited that you caught the canon scene in there. I watched it about a billion times trying to figure out how to twist it around for my own purposes haha.
And aaaaaah thank you so much for saying you think my characters are strong! asdfhjkl;! I always get a little fangirly when writers let a character take control of their difficult situations instead of letting them get owned by them. This is one of the reasons Terry Pratchett is one of my favourite authors of all time. He's specifically stated in interviews that he's tried to write weak women who are supposed to be pathetic and ineffective and fails miserably at it every time. You've made my month, at least XD
