A weekend off...
So I had this weekend off. First one off in a long time. I took time off to go home to my family and spend some time...and to honor my grandma. She would have been 90 today. We had a great meal (and cleaned our plates) in her honor, with some great German red wine to accompany our dinner. We poured a glass for her, of course.
Backtracking- Friday night I worked on homework with Emily, then spent the night at Jon's. Saturday I went to my parents' and had lunch with them. My mom and I went to go get my hair trimmed (since it had been about 14 months) and she wanted to get me a manicure.
We went to this place in La Plata and were told it would be about 30 minutes, so we went to the Blockbuster next door...where I found Ghostwatcher 2 (yay!!) and The Aristocrats.
We went back to the hair place at the appropriate time and waited another half hour. My mom and I were both like "This is ridiculous" so she said she would trim my hair. We went to Safeway so she could pick up things to do my nails.
We went home. Mom trimmed about 4 inches off of my hair and then did my nails. My hair looks great and feels so much better...I might need to have her trim it more often :).
It's strange having my nails painted...but I like it. I might have to do that more often too.
All in all, a great weekend. Now I've got to wait for my room to warm up so I can go to sleep. Class and work tomorrow...as usual!
