Silly self-indulgent squee aside

I really loved this ep.

Slightly confused as to why Rory's dad wouldn't have been at the wedding and a) seen the Doctor's rather dramatic arrival, not to mention, b) danced with him, considering the Doctor danced with everyone at the wedding. Had this been a Moffat episode, I'd think something timey-wimey was going on. It may still be, but I think it was just sloppy writing on Chibnall's part.

On the other hand, I love what he did with Rory's dad, their relationship, and his shift from "never travels anywhere" to time-and-space-hopping with the Doctor. Bonus points for Rory's mad nursing skillz getting a brief showing. (Would a nurse in the UK really be able to run around with IM painkillers like that? Because here, afaik, that would be completely illegal.)

Not liking the foreshadowing, which I gather from the Doctor's perspective is probably after-shadowing. But time can be rewritten, after all, so maybe it won't be what it looks like.

Still. Nefertiti! Dinosaurs! Silurians in absentia! "I'm worth two men easily. You can help too, if you like."
