Okay, for a value of new that means "I just discovered it" not "it just came out." Because, thanks to some silly YouTube thingy, I had it in my head that GDL's band did rap, so I didn't really have much interest in checking it out. But I finally did, and damn! I've been listening to them for the past few days at just about every chance. Except when writing. Fic has a playlist that is nowhere near as heavy, though I'm tempted to add "Making Sound" to it. Much as the heavier stuff is more my usual sort of thing, there's something haunting about that one that I think is going to make it my favorite of the two CDs. EPs. Whatever.
Patsfan even likes their sound. This is good, because I sincerely hope to be able to add a Blue Gillespie gig to our itinerary next year, depending of course on where and when they're playing.
However, the return address label made my eyes cross. Beautiful Welsh vowels clearly only exist in the spoken form. I can't even begin to guess how to pronounce this one word that looks like someone took all the c's, ll's, m's, and w's out of a Scrabble game and just randomly stuck them together. I take back anything I ever said about Welsh being easier to learn than Mandarin. At least until the next serious attempt at the latter, I'm sure.
Last completely free Tuesday for a long while, and I'm squandering it faffing about the net. Oh well.
