Happy Beltane, Thargelia, May Day, or just Spring/Fall (depending on your hemisphere)!

I thought I'd posted this earlier, but clearly not. Oops. Ah well. The day(s) may be nearly over, but I'm sure there will be celebrations all weekend. We're doing Thargelia Sunday, for one.

And happy Labour Day too, which is a little more modern, but no less than some Christian festivities overlapping the ancient ones ;)
(I like the idea of workers having free time to celebrate appropriately)

For some reason, we have our Labor Day in early fall, but spring actually kind of makes more sense.

Thanks, dear! And happy all of the above to you too! (I have a HUGE yellow tulip in a vase right now that a neighbor girl left on my doorstep with a Happy May Day note. It's fully 8 inches across and smells wonderful.)

and what a beautiful icon! I love irises. I bought a gorgeous new miniature iris this spring and planted under a cranky old rosemary that lives in a big clay pot on my front porch. I hope it comes back next year...
