Micro pre-test is done. We'll get it back on the first day of class. Reasonably sure it went well.
Prof said he's trying to develop a pre-course seminar that would encompass the pre-test, the orientation we had today, and a bit more over the span of three days. I think I'd find it annoying to have to pay for it, but on the bright side, students would register for it in advance and would know when it was happening with more than 2 wks notice. That still irks me, because I'm sure there were students who either didn't get the notice at all or got it but were unable to attend because their jobs/internships/whatever would have needed more notice to work around it.
He also gave us the bonus question for the first unit test. Apparently he's been doing this for three years and so far only two people have successfully completed it. So there's a gauntlet thrown down. *g*
Have started writing one exchange fic and am still wibbling over the prompts for the other. Have also decided no
fem_exchange for me after all. Waaay too open-ended, most of those prompts are. For the timing with which I'd be hitting that, which is pretty much the month before it's due, I'd end up ripping my hair out. Better to use any available writing time to work on existing projects. (Particularly the one I'd hoped to have done by the end of this week that I'll be lucky to get done by the end of the year. *glares @ characters for not cooperating*)
So that's my celebration of my last non-Hell Wednesday until pretty much Christmas. (There's hope for the 23rd, actually, if I can manage to get exempted from the final, which he let slip is possible, presumably with the same stipulations as in Chem: a 95 average minimum between lecture and lab.)
Getting annoyed with the spammy stuff on IJ. I delete-report at least 1-2 per day and just locked another post from getting comments because it was getting hit regularly. Bleh.
ETA: It seems that surviving this course with sanity intact will probably require the use of an audio recording device, preferably digital. Any recommendations?
